The Sultanate of Oman is often subject to flash flooding with several cyclones occurring along the Omani coasts. Our team of hydrologists endeavors to model, study and implement the most effective design solutions to mitigate these phenomena.

As a part of the Hydraulic Engineering department we provide complete hydrology studies including terrain morphology analysis, catchment areas delineation, rainfall analysis, one-dimensional modeling to determine the peak flows and volumes for ordinary terrain conditions as well as two-dimensional capabilities for flood plains and coastal areas simulations. Results from the hydrology studies will be used by our specialists to provide adequate design solutions for flood protection projects, dams, storm water drainage systems, road drainage structures, wadi bridges, dykes and channels.
